What Happens After You Clear AISSEE?

After successfully clearing the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE), candidates need to undergo a few additional procedures before they are officially admitted to a Sainik School. The first step is a medical examination, where shortlisted candidates are assessed to ensure they meet the required physical and mental health standards. This medical test is conducted at specific centres designated by the respective Sainik Schools.

After the medical examination, the final merit list is compiled, taking into account both the candidate's performance in the written exam and the results of the medical assessment. Based on the merit list and seat availability in the schools, candidates are allotted admission.

Once the admission process is complete, students begin their education at the Sainik School. They are trained in academics, leadership, discipline, and physical fitness. The Sainik School curriculum is specifically designed to prepare students for a future in the Armed Forces, with a strong emphasis on preparing for the National Defence Academy (NDA). In addition to academics, the schools focus on overall personality development, character building, and physical conditioning, aiming to produce confident and responsible individuals suited for military service.
