Kalolsavam 2025 Points: The 63rd Kerala School Kalolsavam 2025 was officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan at the Central Stadium in a spectacular ceremony. More than 15,000 talented students from across the state have gathered to compete in 249 events spanning 25 venues, marking this as one of the largest cultural festivals in Kerala. The event kicked off with a mesmerizing dance performance by 44 students, setting the tone for the grand occasion.

The high school segment captivated the audience with an exquisite Mohiniyattam performance, showcasing Kerala's rich classical traditions. A poignant moment occurred when students from Wayanad’s Vellarmala School, who had recently endured a devastating landslide, participated in the festival with remarkable resilience. They presented the drama "Thakazhiyude Virathil," demonstrating their unwavering commitment to the arts despite the hardships they faced.

The first day of the festival spotlighted a variety of classical and folk art forms. Higher secondary girls showcased vibrant group dance and Oppana performances, while high school girls dazzled the audience with traditional Margamkali. The Kerala School Kalolsavam has evolved beyond a competition, becoming a symbol of Kerala’s young talent and their indomitable spirit.

The event also features a comprehensive points table reflecting the exceptional performances of each district across different categories, adding to the festival's excitement and sense of healthy competition.

As the State School Arts Festival reaches its final stages, the battle for the crown intensifies. With only a few events remaining, Thrissur leads the competition with 995 points, holding the first position. Palakkad remains in second place with 992 points, while the reigning champions, Kannur, are in third place with 990 points. Kozhikode, which has set records through stunning victories, is also in third place with 985 points.

Kannur emerged as the overall champion with a total of 215 Gold Cup points, narrowly edging out Thrissur, which earned 214 points, and Kozhikode, which secured 213 points. This competition has evolved into a vibrant celebration of Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, attracting thousands of young artists from across the state. It not only highlights exceptional talents in traditional art forms but also underscores the resilience of participants, such as the Vellarmala School students, who continue to pursue their artistic passions despite facing significant challenges.

The points for various districts are as follows: Malappuram - 969, Ernakulam - 965, Kollam - 951, Thiruvananthapuram - 944, Alappuzha - 940, Kottayam - 909, Kasaragod - 900, Wayanad - 882, Pathanamthitta - 835, Idukki - 804.

In the High School category, Thrissur leads with 472 points, followed by Palakkad with 471 points, and Kannur with 458 points.

In the Higher Secondary category, Thrissur is in the lead with 523 points, followed by Palakkad with 520 points, Kannur with 519 points, and Kozhikode with 517 points.

Alathur Gurukulam Higher Secondary School is in the lead, securing the first position with a remarkable score of 166 points. The school has made a decisive contribution to Palakkad's efforts. Coming in second place is Carmel Higher Secondary School from Thiruvananthapuram with 116 points, while M.G.M. S.S. from Mananthavady holds the third position with 101 points.

Meanwhile, today, the closing day of the school arts festival, the Education Department has declared a holiday for government, aided, and unaided schools in Thiruvananthapuram district. This holiday has been announced considering the demand for students in various parts of the district to have the opportunity to attend the arts festival. The Education Department has stated that students should make use of this opportunity. Schools that have arranged venues, accommodation, and transport facilities have already been granted a three-day holiday in advance.
