RRB Group D Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the recruitment of Group D positions under Indian Railways, candidates must have passed the Class 10 (Matriculation) Examination from a recognized board or institution. Additionally, they should have obtained a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from an institution recognized by the State Council of Vocational Training (SCVT) or the National Council of Vocational Training (NCVT).

The candidate's age must be at least 18 years, and the upper age limit for the various categories is as follows (as of July 01, 2025):

• Unreserved (UR) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 36 years
• Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer): 39 years
• Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST): 41 years

Note: An additional age relaxation of 10 years is provided for candidates with Benchmark Disabilities.

• Marking Scheme:

1. +1 mark for each correct answer
2. -1/3 mark for each incorrect answer (negative marking)

• Medium: Available in English, Hindi, or a regional language option.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

For Males:

• Lift & Carry: Lift and carry 35 kg for a distance of 100 meters within 2 minutes.
• Run: Complete a 1000-meter run within 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

For Females:

• Lift & Carry: Lift and carry 20 kg for a distance of 100 meters within 2 minutes.
• Run: Complete a 1000-meter run within 5 minutes and 40 seconds.

Candidates who successfully apply will be invited to take the Computer-Based Test (CBT), which is expected to be conducted in the second quarter of 2025.
